"TURO IN THERE"

When my oldest boy was around two years old, he liked to climb into the car, into bed, and into everything.  He was very, very active!  What I remember  is that he would always say "In there, Turo in there."  "Turo" is his nickname, short for Arturo.  When I would put him in the car, he would say "Turo in there", in the bathtub, in bed, "Turo in there."
Now Arturo is going to be a dad.  He says he can't wait ot see his son.  He said, the other day, mom its such a miracle, the baby in there (Noemi).  I said, yes Arturo, "Turo in there."
Hi s name is going to be Arturo Jr.

SECURE AND SAFE IN HIM

As a child, sometimes I would awaken to the sounds of two people, talking, sharing, drinking coffee, and just enjoying each others company.  It was my mother and Father.  My mother would get up early to make breakfast and fix my dad's lunch, and see him off to work.  The sounds of their voices reflected how much they loved each other.  I would cozy up in my bed with my warm blankets and feel so secure to know I had loving parents and parents that loved each other.  I saw them kneel at the edge of the bed at night to pray.  I saw my dad study his bible at the kitchen table at night.  He would share some of the miracles that happened in his life and miracles that were related to him by his father and elders in the early church.
My parents instilled the love of God in me.  I felt safe and secure.  I pray I reflect and instill in my children the love of God.  That my children may see me pray, hear me sing unto my God, watch me as I read God's word, hear my testimonies of His miracles, mercies, and power in my life.
     That is now my security!
