Feed My Sheep

ONE OF THE WAYS TO BE A BLESSING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD. When I was a girl growing up in an old spanish Apostolic Church, I remember an old hymn they sang called "In God's Vineyard," "I want to work in God's vineyard, If my goal is to pray, then I'll always have something to do in God's Vineyard," that old song said.

One morning, as I was sitting by my bedside, thinking about our Wednesday night Bible studies, I thought about the fellowship afterwards and remembered everyone enjoying the meal the other ladies and I had prepared, and that passage in John 21:15-17 came to my mind. "Lovest thou me?" " Feed my sheep." I am not out preaching, but I am feeding the sheep by providing with love ,a meal for our brethren and souls to enjoy.

Other scriptures: 1Peter 4:9-10, Love and Hospitality, James 2:15,16-18-Faith by works, Colossians 3:17-23-Do all in the name of Jesus, heartily, as unto the Lord.

I want to work in God's Vineyard!

Me, a Grandma!

Yeah! I am finally going to be a grandma! My son Arturo and his pretty wife Noemi are the expectant parents! Yeah!

"Don't sing that song"

I must have been 15 or 16 years old at a time when I was having a lot of uncertainty in my life. We had a real good youth group at our church, but a certain young lady had taken a dislike towards me, stemming from a spirit of jealousy. Much discord was filling the hearts of the youth group and I was feeling very hurt by the "talk" that was going around.
I praise God for a godly mother. One night I was just overwhelmed with the whole situation. I could get no sleep, no comfort in my heart ,and I was just sobbing. My mother heard me crying and came to my room and prayed with me over the situation, encouraged me ,and helped me recognize that it was the enemy of my soul trying to destroy what I had with God.
That Sunday, I was going to sing a special song. I was practicing the song and my mother was listening. My mother stopped me by saying "Don't sing that song!" Why not? I asked. Its too sad, she said. You're singing like you're all defeated, you need to sing a joyous song, a victorious song. Show the Devil you are not defeated! Just like Paul and Silas in prison, after they had been beaten, they prayed and sang praises unto God. Acts 16:23-25
"You are not defeated!" Thank the Lord for a good, Godly, and wise mother. I chose a different song, one of praise! Just as the Lord worked out the whole situation at that time, He continues to work out troublesome times that come on this journey of my life. One thing I always remember my mother telling me (when I want to wallow in my troubles), "Don't sing that song!
